Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities.  These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.
Beginning in 1917, the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities.

"Over the Bridge" 10k & 5k Run/Walk Event


Dear Friends,

The Hampton Bays Lions Club has been supporting charitable works in Hampton Bays and East Quogue since 1948. As active members of our community, the Lions contribute to college scholarships for our deserving high school students, raise money for our local churches, library, and we also donate to the Dominican Sisters,  Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Our Main focus is to raise money and awareness for those who are Sight and Hearing impaired and those in need of guide dogs. We have had great success with these projects in the past, however, we need your help to ensure a successful future.

The Hampton Bays Lions Club is planning our 2nd annual exciting fund raising event that will showcase the beauty of our community, promote healthy living, and raise money for our charitable works. We have planned a 10k run and 5k walk/run event that will cross the Ponquogue Bridge and will highlight the natural beauty of Hampton Bays to all participants. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at 7:00 a.m. with registration at the Hampton Bays Middle School. Please see our event page
